Medium & high pressure compressors rental

Sediment sampling

We have new equipment for lake, river and sea bed sediment sampling available for rental.

Our OSIL mega box corer can collect 0.25m² samples at depths of up to 100m, while the double van veen grab can gather two comparable 0.1m² sediment samples from lakes and rivers, and the sea floor. Both items can be fitted with weights so they can be used in strong currents and to collect a range of sediment types.

Applications for sediment sampling include hydrological surveys, chemical analyses, environmental monitoring, biological studies and environmental impact assessments.

Please contact us for further details.

Oceanology International 2016 – Stand N501

We will be exhibiting at Oceanology International 2016 at ExCel London on stand N501 from 15-17 March.

Over the past year we have added a host of new items to our equipment pool, including 48trace, 3.125m group interval hydrophone arrays; a Neptune 5000 CPT and Neptune 3000 CPT; a 6m Vibrocorer system; and more.

If you would like to speak to us about these items, or anything else, please drop by stand N501. Bruce Allen, Director, and other members of our team will be on the stand throughout the three day event.

More new geotechnical equipment

Following the success of the Neptune 5000 CPT we have acquired a Neptune 3000 CPT, which is now available for rental. This extends the range of survey vessels CPT can be deployed from using our equipment.

The Neptune 3000 CPT is a smaller version of the 5000 that is easier to deploy from smaller boats.

Please contact us for further details.

On board the RRS James Cook

We are working in the Panama Basin on board the National Oceanographic Centre vessel the RRS James Cook (Cruise JC113).

The aim of the cruise is to obtain new data on sub-seafloor heat flow in the Panama Basin. This data will help improve estimates of total hydrothermal heat loss from the crust in the region.

We have supplied a multichannel SEAL system and full crew.

More information on the cruise can be found on the Oceanographic and Seismic Characterisation of heat dissipation and alteration by hydrothermal fluids at an Axial Ridge (OSCAR) project website.
